N64, followed real closely by the SNES... so many great games and so many more great memories. Gaming was at it's best when Nintendo was king. Xbox 360 isn't a terrible system but it, as well as the PS3 suffer from the fact that a lot of their fans only care about pretty graphics and visuals... kids these days............... Well that is a generalization because I don't care about graphics that much. I would much rather have a good story and well developed characters because it makes the game more interesting and fun. I still also prefer playing "retro" systems like the genesis, n64, snes, gamecube, dreamcast, and a bit of nes and gameboy just because they had a lot better games and I enjoyed them alot more. generalization? Perhaps. But much like stereotypes there is a reason for it... there are ALWAYS exceptions, but that doesn't really make my statement any less true

I go back and forth between Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. I'll never forget watching commercials for N64, and playing Mario Kart 64 for the first time, and being blown away by the 3D graphics. Gamecube in my opinion has the best controller, decent graphics, and soo many good games. I guess it's a tie for me. Nothing else even comes close, but I try to be open minded. I can certainly appreciate amazing graphics but I just don't consider it all that important. When I want to play a game, I want to have fun. It doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as I can see what's going on. One thing that sorta bugs me about newer games is that sometimes people take them so seriously. I've watched a group of guys play Call of Duty on a few occasions and no one ever looked like they were having fun. Looks can be deceiving though, so who knows. So many games, so little time!
