Hi, my names Dave.........and I'm a gamer. been gaming for probably a bit over 20 years. first console was an ATARI 2600, which i still have to this day,
Mostly fond of story driven games with good character development and that. granted, i'll pretty much play anything, but few of my all time favorite games are beyond good and evil, shadow of the colossus, pyschonauts, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. the list could go on, but those are a few of my top ones, so you get the idea.
Rockin up all 3 current gen consoles, i find fanboyism a bit idiotic since they all have their good and bad points/games. I actually picked up the PS3 SOLELY to play Heavy Rain, as David Cages other games, Indigo Prophecy and Omikron: The Nomad Soul as pure masterpieces (well, until indigo prophecy goes half way bananas at the very end)
So ya, thats pretty much it. saw this linked up on facebook, figured i'd join up. i'm on a metal music forum that has a game channel, but that obviously takes back seat to game discussion

hmmmm, well my 360 gets a lot more play in general. I tend to get most games on the xbox for 2 reason. 1, i like the controller a hell of a lot better. i find the sony controllers are just to small for my hands (i'm 6'2....big hands) so the six axis just dosn't feel right when i hold it. and 2, MOST games that come out on both, are ported over the the PS3, so they tend to have slower frame rates then their xbox counter parts. not always the case though, but bayonetta and i think madden 09 were pretty severe examples of this. really it's not the console i care about, it's the game. i don't look at it as a console being better then the other, i just look at them as a tool to play a game. the game is what matters. it also comes down to personal taste as well. Really, the line is being so blured between.......well at least the 360 and ps3 anyway.......were getting into the realm of so few exlusives no days. the problem becomes with dev costs rising up in to the tens of millions, publishers want to make sure they will recoup their investments, and the best way to do this....multiplatform.

Yeah. Exclusives are nice though because it makes it more worthwhile to get a system if it's an amazing game for only that system. It adds more "flavor" to video gaming, because your friend mat have PS3 and you have a Wii so you each have different games.
