Many people complain about the "awkward" controller. Others say it's the most innovative controller ever. What do you think of the famed/ infamous controller? I for one live it. It has many ways to hold it, it was built to be sturdy, and it just looks cool.

I don't like the fact that the analog stick gets loose after use. Otherwise I enjoy it. Although it has gotten a bit more awkward to hold since my hands got bigger.

I thought it was more of a "utility" controller more than anything, having access and positions for your hands for both the D-Pad and the Control Stick. Though very few games actually used to D-Pad like that, it definitely worked. One thing I noticed was a relative lack of use for the L-Button, but whatever. XD

Pokemon Stadium does a good job of both utilizing the D-Pad and L button. O.o

I prefer using a mako pad or the hori minipad.

Not a fan, but I'm willing to accept it for being a trailblazing controller. If we saw something like that now, however, it wouldn't fly.

Yeah. I also like the mako pad because the joystick never wears down.

the 64 is my favorite system and I love the controller... I do wish the joysticks were more durable. If I had the time I'd replace mine with a GC joystick...

Personally I like the Nintendo 64 controller a lot, but my opinion is biased because that's what I grew up on. I skipped Super Nintendo and went straight from the NES to the N64. I spent quite a few hours mesmerized by Mario Kart 64 in all of it's brand new 3D glory, and later on Super Mario 64 may have taken over my life for a bit. ;D I never thought much about what the controllers felt like back then of course, but now in my opinion Gamecube has the most comfortable controllers, by far. There are mini N64 controllers, made by Hori, that are very similar to Gamecube controllers and I like them a lot. Although, my hands are pretty small.
