I think it looks good. I know it will be out powered in no time at all but it will be amazing nonetheless. Nintendo never seems to fail me. especially when Zelda is involved. I am a little worried about the controller though. Your thoughts?

I think the controller looks cool and everything but I'm worried about the weight and the price. I'm worried it will be awkward to hold and if the controller breaks I don't want to drop 100 bucks for it. I was hoping for a regular controller without the touch screen but ehh. It's just going to take some getting used too.

Well, the way I see it about the controller is that (according to people who used it at E3) it's really lightweight, so I don't have an issue there. The awkwardness as to holding it almost seems identical to an iPad (which I'm sure many people have compared it to that already). Perhaps, since it's still kinda in beta-test mode, they'll add wrist straps or something. They DO look expensive, but I have faith in Nintendo. xD

I also have faith in nintendo but I got really excited when they said they were going to reclaim "hardcore" gamers and I thought they were going to have a generic controller and they let me down when they showed of this clunky-looking touch screen with buttons as a controller. But I guess it could work because Nintendo works magic

Magic, indeed! xD
I don't even know what that meant when they mentioned "bringing back hardcore gamers." I feel like that's a relative term, but if it means more first-party titles, then yaaaaay. I would love more Marios and Zeldas and Pokemons and whatnot. =D
And apparently the visual output is gonna be better than PS3 and Xbox 360, which I can hardly even fathom considering how I've had 480p with "Nintendo mind tricks" for about a year or so... xD

Yeah. That's why I bought a Wii. Mostly for 1st part games and a few 3rd part games. And I think in Nintendo's case "hardcore" means their classic titles (Mario, pokemon, Zelda. Etc.)

Well, with all the tech demos and stuff they had at E3, I am super excited. Zelda HD looked AWESOME, and New Super Mario Bros. Mii looked really cool, too. =D
And, I wonder... Do you think they might put Gamecube games on the Virtual Console for the WiiU (if they even do have one, which I'd be surprised if they didn't)? =o

Hardcore means getting the people who left to play CoD MW or Black Ops to once again buy Nintendo products instead of just shoving it aside as another fad

Well if nintendo said they wanted to regain hardcore gamers that play 1st person shooters, they didn't show it very well. The controller doesn't look to work very well for it. I also don't think they showed any first person shooters at all?

Well, hopefully that's NOT what they meant... One or two shooters would be fine (like The Conduit, for example), but I really hope that they don't spill into Nintendo all that much.
Also, for the first WiiU trailer, they DID show a new Zapper that used the new controller as a scope kinda thing, so that sounds pretty cool... =o

That would be pretty awesome but that would be pretty interesting to see how they made that. How would they get that big controller to fit into a gun shape?

That does look pretty awesome. I am really looking forward to being able to play games on the controller and being able to turn of the tv. I think it be awesome for Zelda games because you can see your inventory/ map without having to pause the game...

It isn't about FPShooters. It is for the people who left Nintendo to go play those games. And also, a couple companies stopped developing for the Wii because they knew that audience wasn't there. Games like Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc. It is those people Nintendo wants the support for.

Yeah. I would love to see some of those awesome titles on the Wii U! I just want to see some demos to see on how they are going to control the games.
